Owing to the implementation of new curriculum reforms,classroom teaching focuses more on developing thinking abilities of students.No longer restricted to knowledge instructions only,the reformed teaching activities aim at three-dimensional goals.Under this new background,not only is it necessary for the students to gain knowledge and develop personal abilities,but it is important for them to form proper values on history.Hence history teaching is not merely about the teaching of historical knowledge,but also the instructions of historical thinking.Nowadays majorities of the senior high school history teachers are answering the calls of new curriculum reforms and paying much attention to inquiry learning and principal status of the students during their teaching activities.In teaching practices,however,most of the teaching is gaudily but unpractically designed,without substantive help to students.Although there is significant improvement in student involvement in classroom teaching,still no progress in their thinking vitality has been made.It has attracted increasing attention as to how to boost the students' history thinking abilities during history teachings under the new curriculum reforms.Awareness of problems reflects the psychological status where people struggle to find out answers to their puzzles and doubts.This will drive people to actively learn and inquire problems.The pastness nature of history requires students to raise questions from history perspective.Awareness of history problems is a psychological manifestation of the students' abilities in thinking and active inquiry.Students are able to raise inquiring questions based on their existing knowledge of history.By developing awareness of history problems of students,it is helpful to improve their attainment through inquires;and meanwhile,it will enable them to raise new questions based on their knowledge and thus fuel their progress in personal attainment and thinking abilities.The paper studied the development of awareness of history problems through literature research and questionnaire survey.By consulting existing research achievements,the paper began by integrating awareness of problems with history attainment and defined awareness of history problems.Based on psychological knowledge,it introduced the important role that the development of students' problem awareness played in current history teaching.Then it made investigations on existing awareness of history problems among the arts senior high school students from Jin Zhou Tai He Senior High School by questionnaire surveys.Efforts weremade to dig into the causes for the lack of awareness of history problems among current middle school students.The paper concluded by combing theories with practical survey results and proposed countermeasures for senior high school history teaching.This way,it expects to open up new ideas to vast history teachers devoted to classroom teachings as to the development of awareness of history problems among students.
