The new physics curriculum reform requires physics teaching not only should impart knowledge to students, but also pay more attentions to train the research ability of the students. making students to master physical knowledge and study physical minds and methods. Physics teaching also should cultivate students practical and realistic scientific attitude and spirit of innovation in a brave exploration enhancing further scientific literacy of students. Inquiry teaching is a new teaching method and hot spot in this curriculum reform, at the same time, it is also a difficult point in the curriculum implementation. Since there have a curriculum reform, a large team of exports, scholars and education workers do a great deal of research on inquiry teaching. In some economic developed regions, the implementation of inquiry teaching has acquired a stage accomplishment. However, research in some township high schools of economically underdeveloped regions shows that primary physics teachings in township high schools at present still are "instruction law" and "speak associated with practice law", and this is because most of physics teachers do not totally understand to the new curriculum standard and are influenced by old ideas of teaching. Therefore, both their teaching philosophy and teaching method do not change. This paper aims to study the current implementation status of the inquiry teaching in township high school physics teaching on the physics teachers and the students of township high schools in part of Hunan province, and analyze the common questions and propose some person ideas and suggestions based on the questions.This paper is mainly divided into five parts. In the first chapter, we introduce just briefly the background of this topic, the status of research at home and abroad, the purpose, the significance and my main study approaches. In the second chapter, we study the relevant theoretical basis of the inquiry teaching. We first define the inquiry teaching, then study the theoretical basis of pedagogy and psychology in the inquiry teaching, and then give the theoretical guidance for design and performance of the inquiry teaching. In the third chapter, authors pose a questionnaire and interview on the teachers of township high schools in part of Hunan province, and analyze the current implementation status of the inquiry teaching to township high school physics teachers, furthermore, summarize the reasons for influencing on the teachers implement the inquiry teaching. In the4th chapter, I pose a questionnaire on the students of township high schools in part of Hunan province, aiming at learn about the current status of the inquiry studying to township high school students. In the5th chapter, I summarize the research work from both physics teachers and students, and the problems that arise in the implementation of inquiry teaching in township high school are as follows:Physics teachers’ teaching concepts and teaching ways do not change fundamentally in township high school. The teacher professional quality still needs to be raised. The teacher evaluation mechanism is unreasonable. School leaders pay no attention to it. The educational materials in township high school are not sufficient. The experiment conditions are too poor. The students’ learning concepts and learning ways do not change, and their explore awareness and capability are not enough, what’s more, they do not have a good explore environment. Aiming at these problems, I propose some own suggestions on promoting executive inquiry teaching, and these suggestions are: superior departments should increase investment on education in township high school to improve their teaching condition. The schools should pay attention to the concrete implementation of inquiry teaching. The society and parents should not evaluate teachers and schools on the basis of college entrance examination. Teachers should strengthen their theory study and their practice and devotion to help them to advance professionally, at the same time, students should take a correct attitude and change their learning methods.
