In2011, the state council issued ’course standard of physical education and health’of compulsory education, the latest course standard proposed new teaching minds andideas in the fields of sports participation, sports skills, physical health, mental healthand social adaptation. Therefore, in this paper, sports teachers’ situations, sportsteaching material resources conditions, sports teaching present situations, theconditions of middle school students’ physical education learning were researched inZhifu district. Conclusions are as follows:(1)Physical education teachers showed a younger trend, of getting over the juniorhigh school physical education teachers, the gender is imbalance, the number of maleteacher is much more than the female; most of them had bachelor degree, only seldomof them had specialist qualifications; The title of teachers is unreasonable, most ofthem got the middle or primary professional title. the teaching loads of them are toomuch; more than half middle school physical education teachers are not satisfiedabout their salaries. Also, there is a little researching of them, about half of them hadno articles in three year; the enthusiasm of their active learning is not high; all ofthese are not goof for Updating professional knowledge.(2)Most schools think that the school sports funds input is not enough and thesports field can not be repaired in time, also can not get timely maintenance. sportsfields of middle school is simplified, the majority of them is for table tennis orbasketball court, only a few for other sports.(3)There are more than60%of the schools who regulated their own curriculumcontent,; Most of the them limited their teaching method in traditional sports teachingideas; but,there are still many schools innovated evaluation system, including self andmutual assessment in order to increase the enthusiasm of students.(4) Parts of students’ learning motivation is not very clear, they treated the physicaleducation as a task to complete, or as the need of enter a higher school. Although,middle school students have much interesting in physical education classes, there area little of them don’t like it, they think the class is dirty and so boring.According to the results of the study, some advices are put forward in the aspect ofteachers’ construction, construction of sports fields and equipment, classroom teaching, and cultivating of students’ motivation.
