During the last decades of the19th century and early decades of the20th, a mathematical teaching revolution, which was now known as "Felix Klein Reform Program", began in Britain and then spread throughout the country. Nowadays, people pay more attention to the improvement of secondary mathematics education by higher education. Many mathematicians working on this field have made a lot of progress by using various methods and from different points of view. However, it was still considered rare in the research of secondary mathematics education teaching.This paper is organized as follows. We first investigate the background and current situation of secondary mathematics education in high school, and discuss the necessary, feasibility and significance of the research of secondary mathematics education teaching. For the sake of avoiding superficial study in our topic, we focus on the research of function teaching. in high school from the perspective of advanced mathematics after a full investigation of the development history of function, function teaching, and the comparison of domestic and foreign function teaching.Under adhering to the principle of secondary mathematics education in high school, we try to bring secondary and higher education curricula closer in function teaching, and illustrate our idea with some function teaching practice by the author herself. Moreover, we make a comprehensive analysis, summary of our teaching cases, and then draw the conclusion and put forward our suggestions.
