Advanced mathematics is a compulsory basic course in higher vocational colleges, plays a very important role in higher education, it is a powerful tool to study other professional knowledge, has the important, irreplaceable role in cultivating the comprehensive quality of University students. Higher vocational college is a new type of education in recent years have in the development of education, the main function of it is to train first-line technical staff. But development in Higher Vocational Colleges since, various vocational colleges of higher mathematics knowledge for setting the course of higher mathematics is chaotic, the selection of curriculum content, students must learn the basic knowledge and theory, the definition of the professional demand levels and the required content difference, the depth of the master problem, has been unclear or grasp inaccurate. Therefore the real purpose higher mathematics this course to achieve is not well reflected.How to develop the education of Higher Mathematics in higher vocational colleges, consistent ability and the social demand on it, is currently the subject of much attention and urgent needs to solve the problem. Higher vocational colleges from the reality, combined with the teaching profession, to follow the development as the ultimate goal, takes the application as the purpose, to create a realistic necessity of higher mathematics curriculum system has its own characteristics as the principle of education, a new topic in the occupation education.The purpose of this study mainly include:1.The present situation and investigation analysis of higher mathematics teaching.2.The fundamental funtions of higher mathematics education.3.The adjustment suggestions of higher mathematics course frame.First of all, the paper presents the background of selection of project based on the current situations of the students from higher vocational colleges, higher mathematics teaching and the establishemnt of the course in addition to the theoretical and practical significance of the subject.Then on the basis of the research mentioned above, taking some major for example, the research innovation of curriculum design and teaching design is dealt with. Such research is based on the macro-design and practical requirement of vocational education in China, the demand for some special majors and scientific developments, the features of the present vocational education and the current situation of students. By means of the analysis in view of combining higher mathematics with professional courses, the targeted proposals are put forward: the adjustment of higher mathematics to focus and method of various majors, the construction of advisable knowledge instructing system, the hierarchical teaching according to career trait, the amendment of the teaching syllabus, the promotion and progress of mathematics teachers’ professional teaching ability to adapt to specialized courses, the teaching material construcion, the assessment standard of students examination.
