Zeng Guofan,as a famous person in modern history,He is ambitious,made contributions in politics、military affair literature、education and so on.In education,Zeng Guofan’s Letters, diaries and other writings are spread in the world,and respected by the world,can epitomizes his educational ideas.By reading relevant books,especially the Letters he wrote to his children’, we can find the rich education ideas in it.The paper generalizes and analyzes Zeng Guofan’s ideas about reading education to explore their contemporary value,with the focus on the perspective of the reading education from the Letter,added with the first-hand materials including poety、diaries and so on, also with other related articles.This paper is divided into three chapters,the first chapter is an introduction,The main discussion is talk about the brief overview of the status of Zeng Guofan Letters’research,and then made sense.The second chapter is divided into two parts,in the first part,the paper analyzes the origin of his reading education ideas,and generalizes the general geatures about the Zeng Guofan’Letters.In the second part,Sorts out and generalizes the raw mater,Including books and articles commenting his ideas,in order to abstract the related contents from the educational philosophy, educational content, and educational method aspects. The third chapter, in the context of the Modern Chinese teaching problems,decodes Zeng Guofan’ beneficiali deas in reading education,in order to provide the inspiration and helpful prospectives to the the Modern Chinese teaching education.
