Error theory is not only a composition of experiment, but also an important method to analyze and solve problems. This paper outlines the main research directions and results of contents relate to error in physical experiments of high school at home and abroad, makes a comprehensive survey about error teaching in physics of high school at current, investigates and corrects some vague understanding about error, and analysis the typical mechanics and electricity experiments of the college entrance examination deeply from the perspective of error, and designs a teaching experiment on researching "If applying error knowledge in the physical experiment of high school can improve the students’experimental analysis capabilities effectively?" This paper mainly adopts literature, survey (questionnaire, observation) and experimental method to do research, finding out that applying concepts and knowledge relate to error in the physical experiment teaching of high school, is helpful to improve the experimental analysis capabilities of students who have higher physics grades, and it’s also useful to research and discuss deeply. Besides, this paper finding out that extreme difference method which is the various calculating method of standard deviation fit the high school students to analysis random error of measurements quite well. The expression of experimental measurement result should consider both systematic error and random error, which means using combined uncertainty to express experimental measurement result. Only by this way, can solve the confusion of how to express result causing by random error small than the last figure of measurement when just considering random error without the instrument error.
