Mathematical proposition teaching is an important content of high school mathematical education. How to lead in the proposition is a question that has been considered and practiced by mathematical teachers. Mathematical situation lead-in plays an important role in proposition teaching. Numbers of experts and scholars have done intensive researches on it. Based on the examples of middle school mathematical education, the essay deals with the related questions of situation lead-in in mathematical proposition teaching:First, the content, function and usual ways of mathematical situation lead-in. Secondly, strategies to create the lead-in situation and the external conditionsThird, create atmosphere in the class of mathematical situation lead-in.Fourth, analysis about different ways of mathematical situation lead-in.The essay suggests that:Firstly, proposition teaching is closely related to the previous and posterior, which provides broad possibility for mathematical situation lead-inSecondly, mathematical situation lead-in has strong aims. Math education is colorful, while the mathematical proposition is precise. The created mathematical situation features obvious objectives. As a part of teaching, the situation should be based on teaching tasks and teaching aims.Thirdly, mathematical situation lead-in should be combined with teaching content, thus it doesn’t simply exist before class.Fourthly, mathematical situation lead-in in proposition teaching should focus on not only the lead-in about knowledge, but also the effect on learning affect.Fifthly, there are various ways of mathematical situation lead-in in mathematical teaching, teachers should choose reasonable ways according to the practice of teaching to make a positive difference in the students and maximize the teaching outcome.It is hoped that this essay will be of help to the practice of mathematical proposition teaching in middle school math education.
