The Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made importantstrategic deployment to strengthen the anti-corruption construction, speed up the formation ofa sound system for punishing and preventing corruption, and struggle corruption through tothe end. Higher vocational education as an important part of higher education in China, inrecent years has achieved rapid development on the scale and quality. Higher vocationalcollege students have become the important high skilled reserve forces in the first line of theproduction, construction, management and service in our country. Higher vocational collegestudents’ consciousness of honesty and integrity behavior directly affects the healthydevelopment of market economy, the construction of a harmonious socialist society and eventhe survival of the country. Higher vocational education has many characteristics differentfrom general higher education. Education on higher vocational college students’ honestyshould always grasp the particularity of higher vocational education and higher vocationalcollege students, paying attention to the improvement and innovation of traditional honestyeducation mode.At present many higher vocational colleges have been carried out honesty educationactivities and have obtained periodic achievements, but there are still some problems. Highervocational college students’ honesty education, according to the research of the presentsituation of the honesty education of higher vocational colleges in Wuxi area, exists problemssuch as non-systematic content, single approaches, and weak education effectiveness and soon. These problems are affected by society, family, college and students’ own quality.Honesty education for higher vocational college students should be supported by basicprinciple of Marxism, in combination with political science, psychology, pedagogy and otherdisciplines relevant theory, closely related to the training goal of higher vocational educationand higher vocational college students’ physical and mental characteristics, constructing ascientific system. Honesty education for higher vocational college students should have clearconnotation and function in target system, process system, management system andevaluation system. The world outlook, the outlook on life, values education, honesty andprofessional education situation and policy education should be listed in the education content.Education carriers like classroom teaching, campus culture, social practice, the mass mediashould be made full use of to explore the implementation of honest education for highervocational college students.There are several countermeasures to strength the honesty education for higher vocational college students. Firstly, we should establish a sound mechanism, forming ascientific management system. Secondly, we have to innovative ways of honesty educationfor higher vocational college students, and fully tap the potential of students’ self-education.Thirdly, we had better expand the carrier of honesty education and broaden the channels ofeducation. Fourthly, it is important to optimize the environment of the honesty education forhigher vocational college students and make the formation of society, school and family toforge a comprehensive social education environment. Finally, we should try to developsustainable honesty education to promote the overall development of higher vocationalcollege students and the society.
