Patriotism Education Of Young Students Under The Background Of China’s Peaceful Rise

In order to retort "China threat" theory that once prevailed in the1990s allover the world, the relevant experts and the Chinese government have put forwardthe concept of "China’s peaceful rise". Under the specific era background andinternational environment,"China’s peaceful rise" has its specific connotation.China’s rapid rise has brought the profound international effect and domesticinfluence. By analyzing the difference of young students’ patriotism in the years ofrevolution and in the period of building socialism, this paper point out the newfeatures of young students’ patriotism under the background of China’s peacefulrise, explore new requirements that China’s peaceful rise put forward to youngstudents patriotism.On the basis of the studies on the influence which China’s peaceful rise hasover young students patriotism, this paper designs the questionnaire and structuredinterview table under the theory guide of the principle of social research methods.Through the questionnaire survey and structured interview which issues2500questionnaires and500structured interview tables in four provinces ormunicipalities directly under the central government, mastered first-handinformation of the overall condition of young students patriotism spirit andpatriotic action, the condition of young students rational patriotism, the status ofyoung students patriotism education. According to the results of the survey, pointout that the main problems of young students’ patriotism education under thebackground of the peaceful rise of China: Not paying enough attention to theimportance of patriotism education, the content of patriotism education needs to berich, patriotism education methods are too simple, the way of patriotism educationneeds to extend. Aiming at these main problems, according to the results of thequestionnaire survey and structured interview, this paper puts forward thecorresponding countermeasures: enrich the content system of young studentspatriotism education, make integrated use of young students patriotism educationmethods, widen the ways of implementation of young students patriotismeducation.
