As a kind of scientific education ideas, cooperative learning is good to enhance thelevel of the students’ learning efficiency and learning motivation.The research takeschemistry education in senior middle school as as the research content to explore themental effects caused by cooperative learning. The research has certain theoreticalsignificance. The research can enrich research results about cooperative learning chemistryand the mental effect. At the same time, the research also has certain practical value, and itcan provide theoretical basis for chemistry teachers to carry out the education practice.The research puts forward specific measures for the improvement of chemicaleducation by the theory. First, the ready work for the cooperative learning is done. Second,the atmosphere of the cooperation study group learning is grasped. Third, the cooperationlearning is better for cognitive education function. Fourth, the role of sample is played.Fifth, teachers play the role of guidance in the classes. Sixth, the positive education idea isapplied in chemistry education.In order to test the value of cooperative learning, the research carries out the teachingexperiment and takes potassium permanganate for making oxygen as the teachingexperiment content. The research selects four parallel classes as the research object, andtwo classes are taken as experimental groups accepting education of cooperative learningmode while2classes are taken as control groups accepting the traditional education mode.After completing teaching experiment, the research knows the result of the experiment byobservation and questionnaire survey. Survey results of observation and questionnaireshow that experimental group compares with control group, having herd mentality effect,rewards and punishments effect, cognitive map effect as well as the relationship effect.. Atthe same time, the experimental group also recognizes that cooperative learning is good frothe chemical learning.
