Adopting the methods of documentation and comparative analysis, this study investigated and compared PE syllabuses of different stages for primary and middle school in new China, aiming at promoting the teachers’knowledge about the development of PE criculum as well as better understanding about PE and health criculum.The results were found that:1) there are essential contacts among PE syllabuses of different stages, forming the unique system for PE syllabuses in China;2) there exist inevitable differneces in PE syllabuses due to different requirements of social development;3) the change from PE syllabuses to criculum standards is adaptive to the development of new times and the integration into international education reform, in which our PE education for primary and middle school needs to go with the tide of world development, especially for the transition of our education background, the change of our education policy, and the deepening of our educational reform.
