Survey And Analysis On College Students’ Reading On The Background Of The Social Informationization

Reading is a universal social and cultural phenomenon. From the point of view of human individuals, reading is a cognitive activity of human beings and a part of life and it has been throughout one’s lifetime. In the history of human civilization, reading is a continuation of heritage and cultural knowledge, it is an an effective means of disseminating civilization, it writes a glorious page of the history of human civilization.Different stages of human social economic and cultural levels formed the corresponding reading orientation, which was restricted by the socio-cultural levels. The human society is currently in the information age, the rapid development and wide application of information technology has had a profound impact on people’s reading orientation. The society informatization showed mainly the digitization of equipment and internetization of communication and affected the reading orientation of college students.College students are a special group in society, which represents the young guns and the most advanced and popular culture. This group is easily influenced by the social new ideas and new thoughts. In recent years, with the development of economic globalization and the advancement of pluralistic society, the influence of popular culture on college students is becoming increasingly significant. The college students’ reading orientation showed digital and network reading, which was influenced by the society informatization and their psychological characteristics.In this paper, in order to objectively reflect the college students’reading orientation under the background of social informatization,680undergraduates, masters and doctors of One University from different disciplines (liberal arts, science, engineering and medicine) was investigated under the method of scientific investigation. Through the analysis of survey data, it was found that the reading orientation of contemporary college students showed digital and network reading. Digital reading shows:1.Reading is not restricted by time and geographical environment;2.Mobile phone and electronic reader are the reading media for college students;3.The style of reading was silent browsing. Network reading shows:1.The reading method of college students was based on research on the equipment;2.The reading of college students was characterized by popularization;3.College students’ purpose for reading is recreation and Entrance Examination. The above phenomenon prompted the college students to develop a series of poor reading habits, such as distraction, do not read the paper books, widely browsing, listless thinking, do not read the classical books, recreative and utilitarian reading. This paper gives college students reading guidance on the basis of theoretical analysis:1.Reading needs to focus on the physical and mental;2.Reading the traditional paper document;3.Reading need the help of thinking;4.Reading aloud is needed;5.Reading the classics is needed;6.Reading needs to inherit the sage’s knowledge. The purpose of this paper aims to help college students to establish a correct view of reading.
