With the popularization of nine-year compulsory education, students in high schools have become more and more, and the students with difficulties in learning mathematics in high school have also grew with an increasing number, among which the situation of liberal arts classes is the most serious, so the mathematics teachers are facing an unprecedented challenge. Meanwhile, as one of the three major subjects, mathematics plays an important role undoubtedly; therefore, the conversion of students of liberal arts who have difficulties in learning mathematics in high school (hereinafter referred to as students with difficulties in learning mathematics) is a key problem needs to be solved as soon as possible currently.First of all, this paper reviews the studies of students with difficulties in learning mathematics in recent years. Based on references of a lot of literature, it elaborates the background and content of the study, defining the study significance, including the determination of the main study methods of questionnaire, literature survey, case analysis and observation, as well as defining the students of liberal arts who have difficulties in learning mathematics. Then it analyzes the study status at home and abroad, taking multiple intelligences theory, constructionist learning theory, metacognition theory and attribution theory as the theoretical basis of this paper.Secondly, the author starts from the reality of students, based on teaching experiences, with references of relevant questionnaires, drawing up the questionnaire in terms of the study situation of students of liberal arts in high schools, and the questionnaire survey is carried out with regard to part of the students of liberal arts of No. One High School of Shenqiu County where the author works. According to the survey results, it summaries the learning status of students of liberal arts who have difficulties in learning mathematics in high school are as follows:lack of interest, loss of self-confidence; weak foundation, poor learning abilities; incorrect learning attitudes, poor learning habits; confuse mathematical ideas, improper learning method.And then it proposes some strategies for the convention of students of liberal arts who have difficulties in learning mathematics in high school, the first strategy:Make use of the advantage of liberal art and play superiority intelligence; the second strategy: Awake the interest and enthusiasm of study; the third strategy:Establish self-confidence and experience the happiness of success; the four strategy:Develop learning ability and temper the will of study; the five strategy:Standardize the learning habits and correct the learning attitude.
