Goal Setting Theory is a theory in social psychology from the American Rockand Hughes et al, that "the goal of science on people’s learning and other socialactivities have incentives, can transform people’s needs for motivation." With GoalSetting Theory continues to develop and mature, it is widely used in the rapidlyabroad to education and training in the field of sports, and have achieved goodresults. In China, the target set theory in a number of cases of PE Teaching volleyball,table tennis, basketball, track and field and others have applied, indicating that activelearning to stimulate students to actively learn and enhance the academic aspectshave a significant positive effect. However, badminton teaching throughout all levelsof various types, especially in the field of teaching junior high school badmintonrarely Applications and related research literature. Physical Education from theexisting content and a few other items of badminton teaching cases of view, mostlyfrom the target set by the degree of clarity, it is difficult degree, application, ease ofapplication, such as short and long term goals goals, etc., but Goal Setting Theory isan important classification, namely self-directed goal setting goal setting and task-oriented application differences, including many in the field of Physical Educationteaching badminton, were not found to have applied research literature.This study is to compare the self orientation and task orientation based onteaching, Junior Badminton2month goal setting teaching experiment, which refer tothe class according to the traditional teaching pattern, namely "the teacher set goals--teacher demonstration--students practice--teacher unified correct guidance--students practice--individual correct guidance of teachers" Teaching; selforientation course to self orientation setting teaching goals, according to "teacherpreparation goal--teacher demonstration--students to practice on the practicecontents--student self-assessment and peer assessment--the teacher evaluation", experiment teaching; task orientation course to task orientation setting teaching goals,according to "teacher preparation and show the target--Students select the target--teachers of students according to the selected target Demonstration--studentsaccording to the selected target practice--the teachers as a targeted guidance",experimental teaching. The final of the three class teaching goals, including basictarget, improve the goals and challenges of goals; and the teaching effect, thecomparative analysis of quantitative score including learning attitude, technicalperformance, teachers’ evaluation of the horizontal and vertical, draws the followingconclusion:(1) Goal Setting Theory can significantly improve students’ learning attitudesand enhance student achievement;(2) self-directed teaching goals set at the beginning of the application, to guidestudents to positive, active learning and stimulate student interest in learning has avery significant short-term effect;(3) the task-oriented teaching goal setting guide students in active, activelearning, and to stimulate students’ interest in learning aspects of the role of slow, butin the latter part of the application of teaching and its role is more significant andstable;(4) on the middle setting teaching objectives for improving student learningattitude, a more active role to enhance the academic performance significantly;(5) to enable students to participate in their selection of specific teachingobjectives, the achievement of the goals to improve teaching rates and improveteaching effectiveness, stimulate active learning, active learning have more help.
