The training model is teaching style with characteristic based on certain training objectives. It includes the elements like selecting students, cultivating contents, training way and aspects of teachers. The dissertation is around the theme of training model changes of gifted and talented students, choosing cases of cultivation model for gifted and talented students in different stages, researching feature of training model evolution chronologically in our state from the four aspects:cultivating goals, identification, educational contents and teachers. In the meanwhile, the author puts forward suggestions for training model of gifted and talented students in modern times as a reference for cultivating gifted and talented students in the future.Through case analysis, the thesis comes to the major conclusions:firstly, training model of gifted and talented students is just on the rudimental stage without a scale in Tang and Song dynasties. It is optional through parents’education and individual learning by choosing his favorite teacher by himself. Secondly, training model forms elementary scale because of experimental class which educating gifted students, initiating the road leading to educating the gifted students. Owing to historical condition at that time, education for gifted students develops slowly. Thirdly, cultivation for gifted students is carried out in universities, middle schools and primary schools under the needs of talents. It has achieved fruitful results and formed basic feature. Its model is multiple recruitment, concentrated class and systematic cultivation. In spite of differences among cultivating goals, recruitments, identification, and educational contents, their training aims are high-level, guiding individual development. Educational content is characterized by broadening knowledge, strengthening foundation and advocating research experiment as soon as possible for achieving tremendous progress. It is helpful to top-notch talents’growth. Fourthly, training evolution is related to social and economic development at that time. It would have change step by step as the history moves on. Cultivating model for gifted and talented students can be an attempt to improve by aspects of policy, teacher and evaluation in modern times.
