As a highly economy-developed country,America has built an excellent system ofmiddle school educations,even so,the education of its gifted and talented children has madea great achievement to the world,this will supply us very good reference. This paper give a comparison and research between China and U.S,mainly focused onthree aspects:definition of gifted and talented children,the development of gifted and talentedchildren and the style of education about gifted and talented children. In order to learn someexperience from U.S and helped to build reasonable system of our gifted and talentedchildren,the body of the paper divided five parts: Preface,gives a brief introduction about the background of making out the question,thetheory value of the paper,practical significant and research method. Tells out what is giftedand talented children and what is the education of gifted and talented children. Chapter one comparison of definition of gifted and talented children between China andU.S,begins with studying the history of U.S gifted and talented children education andchanging procedure of definition of U.S gifted and talented children education,based onclassification,the paper introduces the two most important definitions of gifted and talentedchildren education. One is the definition of U.S Education Bureau,the other is the definitionof famous gifted and talented children educator,psychologist Ms Renzulli. EmphasisMr.Gihhat's way of definition then introduce the style of definition about China,at last give acomparison between the two counties. Chapter two the development procedure of gifted and talented children educationbetween China and U.S analysis and give a clear frame about development procedure ofgifted and talented children education between the two countries. Chapter three comparison about the style of gifted and talented children educationbetween China and U.S,discussing the four forms of gifted and talented children educationand four kinds of practical style of gifted and talented children education,describe thepractice of U.S gifted and talented children education,compared and analysis the differentstyle of gifted and talented children education between China and U.S. Chapter four According to the comparison and analysis about gifted and talented childreneducation between China and U.S,I have learned that the experiences of U.S will give usimportant references on five aspect:first supporting gifted and talented children education bymaking law. Second:enough education fund. Third:professional teaching team. Fourth:change the single "accelerated" education mode to "enrichment" education. Fifth: keepingthe innovation and development about gifted and talented children education course mode.
