Research On Sanda Defeated Skills Under The Rules

As Wushu Sanda has developed for a short span of 30 years,the level of athletes sees a great improvement with gaps narrowed gradually and competition more intense and exciting.In order to make Sanda competitions more specified and standardized,competition rules are also in constant modification and promotion.Once the new competition rules are enacted,it tends to influence the defeated skills adopted by athletes and,to a certain extent,the final result of games.Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct a study on Sanda defeated skills under the new competition rules.This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature,video analysis,expert interview and so on,with the latest 2013 edition of Sanda competition rules as the basis.Based on a comparative analysis upon the Sanda competitions of the 11 th and 12 th National Games,this paper emphasizes the influences on defeated skills of different levels, stages and genders that the new rules have in the 12 th National Games.Conclusions are drew below:1 The new rules play a significant guiding role in the winner’s scoring skills during the Sanda competition,which mainly lies in:both the number of scoring with straight boxing and arc boxing increases and gradually reaches a balance; the number of scoring with straight kicking rises;the applying of melee throwing decreases but holds a higher success rate.2 That the new rules have an impact on defeated skills taken by athletes of different levels and genders gives priority to these techniques,namely,arc kicking, straight boxing and arc boxing.But in different stages,there are differences in the structure of defeated skills,including that small-level athletes and female athletes play more flexible relatively.3 From the top-eight to the final competition,the applying of straightkicking and turning kicking by small-level athletes increases gradually with higher scores with melee throwing;in contrast, middle-level athletes adopt less straight kicking and melee throwing as the competition stage enhanced;for high-level athletes,scoring with arc kicking serves the highest in the final game with a comprehensive play. And scoring with leg catch technique shows a rising trend.4 As the game stage advances, the number of scoring with straight boxing and arc kicking by male athletes increases but falls the scoring with melee throwing;for female athletes, scoring with straight boxing and throwing tends to decrease with a obvious trend of scoring with arc boxing.5 Coaches and athletes should change their training focus with corresponds to the new rules,paying attention to take targeted training and competitions on the basis of characteristics of different levels and genders.Along with improving the basic skills, attention should be paid to combinations of punches and kick techniques;fast breaking skill should also be strengthened to get higher success rate.
