With the reality of continuous enrollment of graduate students, the quality of their learning has been some anxious problems. Learning motivation can arouse students’ learning behavior and keep a lasting power to finish some learning aims. If you want to improve graduate students’ scientific research level and make them focus on their study, you need to take some measures to stimulate their learning motivation.The aim of this essay is to know the current situation of graduate students’ learning motivation, analyze the factors which could affect graduate students’ learning motivation and then put forward some strategies by doing a survey on graduate students’ learning motivation of A college in Jiangxi. The conclusions are good for colleges and the relevant departments to take measures to improve graduate students’ learning motivation, specialty literacy and scientific level.This paper took an example by huangxiting’ s 《 learning motivation questionnaire》and did a sample survey at A college in Jiangxi. The writer gave out239 questionnaires and returned 259 with a recovery rate of 92.5%. There are 239 pieces of valid questionnaires with the effective rate of 92.3%. As for this survey, the conclusions are as following:(1)The content level of graduate students’ learning motivation at A college in Jiangxi are strong initiative, social orientation, physical pursuit, fear of failure,personal achievement, small group orientation;(2) Academic graduate students’ learning motivation is lower than professional graduate students’ learning motivation;(3)The motivation of masters which has the same major in college graduate students’ learning motivation is higher;(4)The learning motivation of students which need to afford tuition is higher than that of for free;(5)The motivation of Students participate in part-time jobs is higher than the motivation of students which is not participating in part-time jobs;(6)The motivation of students which undertake tasks or experimental subjects is higher than that of not undertaking tasks or experimental subjects;(7)The motivation of students which ranks 15% of specialized classes is higher;(8)The motivation of students which have taken part in academic activities everyweek is higher than other students;(9)Students of science and engineering’s motivation are higher than that of social sciences and the arts sports students;(10)The students which is from metropolis is higher than other places of students in the social orientation dimension;(11)The motivation of graduate students which is in grade 3 is the lowest;(12)The motivation of female graduate students is lower than that of male graduate students. There is no difference in other aspects;(13)The students which his or her family has only one child have no difference between other students;By analyzing the conclusion, the writer put forward some pieces of measures to stimulate students’ learning motivation. The first measure is to strengthen students’ education and management and clearing responsibilities and obligations of the students; the second measure is to construct scientific and rational scholarship incentive system; the third measure is to set curriculum properly, adjust training and enrollment program, change training methods; the fourth measure is to optimize tutorial system so that to strengthen the dominant position in students’ heart; the last measure is to Complete software and hardware facilities and expand employment channels actively so that we could solve master’s worries effectively.
