The Study On Ideological And Political Education Of College Students Under The New Media Environment

With the great development of the technologies in the new media, people’s lives have been deeply influenced and the ways they get information and deal with, and transform it have changed a lot. College students’ ideological and political education will surely be impacted in its climate when they use the new media as an important method for acquiring information. A study of college students’ ideological and political education in the atmosphere of the new media is significant for its role in making full use of the advantages of the new media, helping students adapting to the new media and occupying a position in the new media in their learning of ideologies and politics and strengthening the effectiveness of college students’ ideological and political education.This thesis is divided into four chapters:The background, importance of the selection of the thesis and the ways how the topic is discussed and the current situation where the discussion is in are briefly talked about in the first chapter.The second chapter is mainly about the description of the concepts and the characteristics of the new media, the climate of the new media and college students’ ideological and political education and some relevant theories of how the new media influences college students’ ideological and political education.The importance of revolutionizing college students’ ideological and political education is illustrated with the challenges and chances of college students’ ideological and political education brought about by the new media and the significance of reforming college students’ ideological and political education in the atmosphere of the new media.The forth chapter is especially concerned about the feasible methods to carry out college students’ ideological and political education from six aspects, namely, of adhering to the scientific principle, taking advantages of the new media scientifically and effectively, changing educators’ attitudes towards their work, lessening college students’ reliance upon the new media, improving the contents and the climate of college students’ ideological and political education.
