Chinese textbook is an important teaching resource of Chinese course. As one of authoritative Chinese textbooks, the PEP primary school Chinese textbooks are widely used. Although there is much research on this set of textbooks, in the quantitative research, especially in the quantitative research and quantitative comparison of the textbook new words system there is a large space to do the some research.Based on the existing research, this paper uses the method of linguistics and statistics to analyze the words of PEP primary school Chinese textbooks and the relationship between words the social vocabulary, intending to provide some linguistic reference for textbook writing and vocabulary teaching provide.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into five parts. The first part illustrates the concrete implementation process statistics of the textbook new words.The second part is descriptive analysis of the textbook new words system. The third part is the comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the new words system and social vocabulary words.Combined with the theory of child language development, the fourth part finds some problems of the textbook new words system and puts forward some suggestions to solve these problems. The fifth part gives some personal advice on the teaching of vocabulary teaching.The innovation points of this article are those:first, the textbook new words system does not meet Piaget’s cognitive development theory; second, disyllabic words of high frequency are less in the new words system;third, general vocabulary words update slowly.According to the above phenomenons, this paper argues that Chinese textbooks should plan textbook new words system from a macro point of scientific and systematic, teachers should properly and reasonably do something to adjust the textbook new words from microcosmic angle. It can be more conducive to the students of the textbook new words learning.
