Athletics as a historic sports, daily life by human walking, running, jumping, investment and development of the basic physical activity behavior evolved. With its speed, endurance, strength, confrontation and show the most competitive in the world arena, and continue to prove to the world the infinite human potential development. At the same time, as a basis for the development of each sport, to promote the comprehensive development of physical fitness is an important means to improve human health.Therefore, various institutions at all levels of track and field course always open as a core curriculum. However, with the comprehensive promotion of sports ideas, new projects continue to emerge, as well as college sports elective system makes the track and field teaching gradually become weak by the strong and towards the marginalization of development, athletics and even some universities have canceled classes. Physical phenomenon continues to decline for students to look at the effect of Physical Education Reform and unsatisfactory, Beijing Normal University Professor Mao Zhenming adolescent physique will now be summarized as "hard, soft, stupid", hard, stiff joints that; soft, that muscle soft; stupid, that long-term inactivity caused by uncoordinated movements. For this reason, in today’s demanding moral, intellectual and physical development of quality education background, to carry out track and field course is very important. For track and field teaching in general colleges how the status quo? Factors affecting Henan Province track and field teaching what? How to propose appropriate reform policy for the status quo and influencing factors? This series of questions are still various sports experts, scholars and discussion of issues of concern, but also the core issue of this research.In this study, literature survey, mathematical methods and logical methods and other methods to public sports track and field teaching in general colleges for the study, ten selected colleges and universities in Henan province as a survey of the study. Through the investigation of the university track and field Teaching Current Situation of Henan Province, we found that the current normal opening only three College Public Sport Course in Track and Field Course, but opened the effect is not optimistic, but not open track and field.To this end, constraints university track and field teaching in Henan province carried out the impact of in-depth investigation and analysis, the following conclusions:(1) the degree of attention is not high school leadership, ignoring the basic track and field course opened, while the lack of campus athletics culture, school athletics club established imperfect, the lack of long-term mechanism.(2) teaching athletics teaching factors greatly restricted, athletics teaching materials, the structure is old and has a strong competitive color, teaching methods and means of a single, evaluation unreasonable, "teach measured separation" concept is not clear.(3) theory and practice of low teachers’ ability to undertake more physical education programs in the time and energy is limited, due to overburdened treatment resulting in some physical education teachers teaching is not strong sense of responsibility, teaching quality.(4) elective system gives students the maximum elective liberty, due to student awareness of the value of athletics and track and field teaching is more one-sided, motivated students interested in participating in sports tend to be biased obviously casual, comfortable and less physical exercise intensity project, which resulted in a greater impact on the track and field teaching.(5) With large-scale enrollment university, colleges and universities in Henan province venues, facilities and other teaching resources are facing a shortage situation, equipment development is lagging behind, the quality of teaching is difficult to be guaranteed.(6) In addition to the above factors, external factors, the effect of social media, family and education to carry out track and field teaching also has some influence, but the proportion was less affectedBased on the above analysis of the survey, a comprehensive system problems, to carry out track and field teaching proposed with the corresponding recommendations:First, college athletics should be open to teaching "basic course or compulsory" form, to ensure that the amount of hours of teaching; secondly optimize the athletics materials, increase fitness programs, fun, and appropriately increase the fitness track and field theory courses; and third, to build a wide range of track and field teaching evaluation system; fourth, and comprehensively improve the overall quality of physical education teachers and ability; fifth, increase funding of teaching resources, and promote the healthy functioning of extra-curricular activities and athletics track and field culture.
