Digital Sports is a new concept of digital technology and a combination of traditional sports. It is IT, communications, Internet technology, digital gaming and digital media form, with physical exercise, sports and fitness, the perfect combination of interactive entertainment. Today, China in the digital sports industry realm, with the world’s developed countries stand on the same starting line. I believe that with more and more companies to join with the development of vision, a bud ready to come in emerging industries.In this paper, as a starting point from table tennis which the most prominent sports results from our most extensive mass foundation. In depth study of table tennis passive location technology in one of the most critical technology-delay estimation techniques.The main work of this paper from three aspects:the first is the study of methods for passive location, focuses on Passive TDOA positioning method. Followed by the reference TDE vast literature abroad. For delay estimation generalized cross-correlation method, adaptive estimation, cross power spectrum estimation method and higher order spectral estimation theory analysis, and summarize their characteristics, interrelated discuss generalized cross-correlation method and other methods. Finally, by numerical simulation, Generalized cross correlation analysis of the characteristics of four weighted time delay estimation method, the simulation results are consistent with the theory, to verify the correctness of the theory. On this basis, we set up an experimental environment. Experimental system consists of table tennis table, eddy current acceleration sensor, an oscilloscope and a computer. Data collection, including several groups of system noise, tennis excitation signals.In order to find the optimal experimental system noise distribution law of the unknown delay estimation method, using noise data obtained experimentally, Experimental results show that, delay estimation of PHAT weighting closest true value. this method of estimating system for table tennis placement optimal delay estimation method.Through discussion, research, modeling delay estimation method is more suitable auxiliary table tennis simulation training device obtained, this method solves the table tennis placement positioning delay estimation problem, provides for table tennis digitized valuable research method, and further improve the estimation accuracy and lay a solid foundation for the table tennis ball.
