The Supply And Demand Of Swimming Training For Students Taking High School Entrance Examination

In reform in PE test of senior high school entrance examination in 2010, Municipal Education Commission officially added swimming event into PE test of senior high school entrance examination. Under the influence of the baton of senior high school entrance examination, more and more junior high schools, teachers, students, parents and student individuals begin to attach importance to study of swimming, demand for swimming training increases and how to carry out swimming training that meets the practical need of Shanghai candidates for senior high school entrance examination has become a problem to be solved.Through empirical study and taking three factors models of training demand as theoretical basis, this paper aims to make an investigation and analysis of supply status and demand factor of Shanghai candidates for senior high school entrance examination in swimming training and offer countermeasure and suggestions for service operation of relevant sports training business entities, thus perfecting and enriching related theoretical studies of sports training in sports service industry and meeting the practical need for promoting swimming level and improving PE result of Shanghai candidates for senior high school entrance examination, expanding training market, promoting sports consumption and advancing development of sports industrialization.Through literature material method, interview and investigation method, expert interview method, questionnaire survey method and statistic analysis method, this paper makes research and analysis of supply and demand status of swimming training in Shanghai municipal senior high school entrance examination and draws following conclusions:Firstly, it makes analysis by taking three factors models, organization-task-personnel training demand as theoretical basis. There are three main kinds of creation background of swimming training demand of Shanghai candidates for senior high school entrance examination: mission demand background generated when education authorities formula te educational policies, laws and regulations, organizational demand formed by schools and teachers in senior high school entrance examination class in the process of education and teaching and personal demand background derived from candidates for senior high school entrance examination in growth process.Secondly, business entities of swimming training for Shanghai candidates for senior high school entrance examination are mainly composed of public sports venues and private training institutions. Most operators recruit less than 50 persons in annual swimming training examination and are basically able to offer indoor swimming pool, heated swimming pool and slip resistance floor in the aspect of site facility. At present, one phase of senior high school entrance examination swimming training is priced at about 950 Yuan. The most common coaches on the market are from part-time students from sports colleges and universities. As for training promotion, it mostly adopts two channels, network media and giving out advertising pages. In the aspect of supervision, about half of operators measure the result after training, and one third of operators have no supervisory measures for training.Thirdly, survey result shows that 78.72% of 9th grade students and parents have demand for senior high school entrance examination swimming training. In selection of business entity, students and parents tend to select public sports venue and swimming training institution. Top three in training venues and facilities demand are indoor swimming pool, heated swimming pool and slip resistance floor. As for price, price that parents are willing to pay is about 550 Yuan. In selection of coaches, coaches with standard swimming certificate and coaches with rich swimming teaching experience are more popular. As for teaching methods and teaching service, parents attach importance to regular evaluation on students and feedback of results to parents as well as ability to observe their children during class.Fourthly, Shanghai municipal senior high school entrance examination swimming training market has following problems: serious discrepancy between supply and demand, demand exceeds supply, ineffective market operation of business entity, undifferentiated swimming training market, conservative and single marketing means, the price of course is higher than capability of market demand, poor management in coaches’ training qualification and the quality is uneven, insufficient supervisory channel and imperfect after-sales service.Fifthly, there are several countermeasures to further improve Shanghai municipal senior high school entrance examination swimming training market: training operator should penetrate into market demand and segment swimming training market, sports venue and training institution can establish mutual benefit and collaboration through ways such as business outsourcing, innovate training mode and marketing channel, the government should strengthen support and lower operating cost through government purchase service, normalize coaches’ post standard, set up coaches’ post system, establish training supervision system and perfect after-sales service mechanism.
