With the development of our national economy and improvement of the comprehensive national strength, China’s bid for the World Cup after a first germination period, has entered a period of rapid growth. In this period of rapid growth the wish of China’s bid to host the World Cup are increasingly strong. The "bid for the FIFA soccer World Cup" as a long-term goal has been put on the agenda after the deployment of “The Overall Program of Reform and Development of Chinese Football” decided and deployed by The Party Central Committee and the State Council. But many problems come up and a lot of experts have to think about: does the possibility of China’s bid to host the World Cup exist? Does China really have the conditions for hosting the World Cup? How to ensure the healthy development of China’s bid to host the World Cup? How to take effective measures to ensure the success of China’s bid and holding. In this case, based on the current growing dispute of China’s bid for World Cup, with literature inductive analysis, questionnaire, and SWOT analysis, this paper has done the prospective study of China’s bid to host the World Cup, tried to sort out and clarify the necessary conditions for China’s bid to host the World Cup and proposed appropriate countermeasures for some of the current problems existing in China’s bid for the World Cup.Hence we can draw the conclusions as follows:(1) China has a high probability bidding the FIFA World Cup;(2) It’s close related between China hosting the FIFA World Cup and realizing the Chinese dream of being a sporting power;(3) From the SWOT analysis, our advantages are embodied in the solid economic foundation, abundant competition hosting experiences, perfect infrastructure construction and wide support from people; while the disadvantages lie on our low football level and the lack of voices in FIFA; the opportunities are the advocation from Chinese government, FIFA’s strong attention and the will of Chinese leadership; and the threats come from the uncertainty of selection principles and the domestic disagreement on this subject;(4) We propose the five countermeasures and suggestions like positive building of the bidding conditions, enhancing the evolution and support of football field, seizing the beneficial bidding time, professional diplomats training and proactive bidding and also point out our best bidding choices to be 2030 or 2034 FIFA World Cup.
