The Research Of Cognitive Primes Impact On The Empathy Ability Of Different Attachment Type College Students

In the development of human society, there is a indispensable important factors——intimate relationships,which fulfill human needs of closeness, safety, and security.One of the most influential frameworks for studying functioning in interpersonal relationships has been Bowlby’s theory of attachment.He holds that early experiences with one’s primary caregiver lay the foundation for the follow-up adult attachment relationships pattern’s(How to think about yourself and others)development.And empathy is a ability,which can guarantee to obtain and maintain good human relationships.It seems that attachment and empathy are important ingredients in a relationship.So I think there is a relationship between attachment and empathy.Therefore, this paper first investigates the different attachment types of college students’ ability of empathy,and use cognitive prime to test the change in empathy perspective taking in different attachment type(avoidance/anxiety).The study 1 includes 563 college students from Nanchang Guilin and Jingdezhen,via questionnaire survey to collect the scale of measure attachment,empathy and emotion’s data.The questionnaire data input statistical software for analysis.The results suggested that obessed type’s ability of empathy is significantly higher than other three types.Moreover,high attachment anxiety scores and personal distress have a positive correlation,which is consistent with the previous research results.The study 2 includes two experiments,both of two experiments are contain a secure attach prime and a positive affect prime.In the two experiments, a total of 159 participants participate in.This study aim at test effects of these primes via present to subjects.The result suggest that,only the“problem solved”in the experiment 1 has effect,what people in this group reported more higher score perspective taking.The last follow-up analysis found that secure attachment of cognitive prime can improve the positive emotions of most subjects,but for the high attachment anxiety individual’s emotions would have an adverse effect.So high attachment anxietyindividuals using this cognitive start or imagination training, need careful consideration.
