Badminton, as traditional advantage of competitive sports project in Xiamen, has a broad mass basis, has a largest number in Xiamen, and Xiamen athletes can be seen in the badminton match through out our country, which also many national players, for example, now China’s first men’s singles Chenlong is the typical representative.This article applies the literature material method, interview method, questionnaire method, logical analysis, mathematical statistics method and other methods to investigate and analyze the development situation of Xiamen mass badminton sports, investigative capacity mainly includes Xiamen to attend mass badminton sports population characteristics, consumption situation, the development present situation, and the status of construction. The investigating analyze the mass badminton sports development characteristics and existing problems of Xiamen.In the survey, the participants age of the Xiamen mass badminton sports mainly between 20 to 45 years old, almost above bachelor degree, enterprises staff and civil servants, and have characteristics as has a high personal income. Entertainment is the prime motivation of Xiamen mass badminton players, fitness becomes a secondary. The badminton playing time is concentrated, which mainly focused on weekends and holidays as well as the working day nights. The badminton venue facilities nearly satisfy the needs of most consumers in Xiamen. Charge according to the different standards of different time period, most people can accept. Xiamen mass badminton sports has a consumption projects, the consumption level is relatively high, consumption is concentrated in the net, badminton, tennis racket line material, etc. Most badminton participants to join the badminton club, and they all agree in hiring badminton coach, Xiamen badminton club in the group match have a low frequency of the year.
