The formation of scientific literacy is a long-term process. Science education in early ages is crucial in the formation of one’s scientific literacy. The science courses of elementary school, as enlightenment courses on the purpose of fostering scientific literacy, the opening of it conforms to the overall trend of basic education curriculum reform. The smooth implementation plays an important role in improving students’ scientific literacy level. In the process of new curriculum implementation, however, there is a variety of problems. Correctly recognize the problems that exist in the curriculum implementation, and analyze the reasons of the problems, then put forward the countermeasures on the basis of research results and existing curriculum theory, it can not only promote the smooth implementation of science curriculum, but also further improve the existing theory on the implementation of science curriculum system.In this study, on the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign related researches, the study analyzes the present situation of science curriculum implementation. Firstly, the author adopts the method of literature, from the influencing factors of curriculum implementation and present situation of the scientific curriculum implementation, to understand the related research status at home and abroad. Then choosing 420 students in primary school higher grades, eight science teachers, four principals as the research objects, investigate students from the seven aspects: basic situation of science classes, students’ study, the evaluation of students learning results, the science teachers’ teaching situation, teaching methods, homework arrangement, and the use of science curriculum resources. And interview teachers on the science teachers’ teaching situation and the evaluation of students learning results. Combined with the results of questionnaire and interview, the author analyzes the problems existing in the curriculum implementation of science in the elementary school higher grades, explores the causes of problems. And combined with the actual situation of related theory and the curriculum implementation, the author finds out the feasible countermeasures to solve problems, aiming to promote the smooth implementation of science courses in higher grades of primary school.This study includes six parts altogether. The first part is the preface, stating the background of the problem, theoretical and practical significance, the relevant research both at home and abroad, theoretical basis of this study and the concepts needed in this study. The second part mainly introduces the research methods of this study, questionnaire interview method and literature are used in this study. The third part analyze the results of this research, including the analysis of the results of questionnaire survey and interview. The fourth part of this study combined with the results of the survey and ding out the problems exist in curriculum implementation of science in the elementary school higher grades, and analyzes the causes of problems. The fifth part is the seven countermeasures against the problems. The last part is the conclusion and introspection of this research.
