Higher education can influence, directly or indirectly, the entire society’s progress. During an era where knowledge and information become the most important developing factors, the university’s important is continuously rising. The junior faculty, being the basis and the future of any university, represent one of the most important fields of research nowadays. This research aims at studying the development of university junior faculty in China and Moldova from the point of view of the basic teaching abilities, the stimuli that contribute to the development of young teachers’teaching abilities, the strategies that may lead to the development of young teachers’ teaching abilities, the factors that contribute to their development, and eventually comparing the results of both countries. From the point of view of the basic teaching abilities, we analyzed university young teachers’ ability to integrate, ability to apply, ability to do research, ability to innovate and ability understand. From the point of view of the stimuli contributing to the development of university junior faculty’s teaching abilities we took into consideration the development of young teachers’ teaching abilities based on experience and consecutively on support. From the point of view of the strategies leading to the development of university young teachers’ teaching abilities, we suggested analyzing the problem from the point of view of the organization of guiding development and the personal initiative to develop. From the point of view of the factors influencing the development of the junior faculty’s teaching ability we analyzed separately the external factors and the internal factors. This research is a quantitative one, which is a systematic empirical investigation of observable phenomena via statistical, mathematical or computational techniques. In our research we used as a data analysis tool the SPSS 22.0, which is a software package used for the statistical analysis. After a thorough analysis, we came to the conclusion that although years of reformation and developing strategies in the field of the development of the university junior faculty’s teaching abilities, there still are many changes to be made both, in China and in Moldova. Young teachers still need the government’s support for professional development, they need more Teaching Development Centers where they can improve their teaching management abilities and they need encouragement and patience to prove that they can be good teachers even without years of work experience. There are, however good things that university young teachers from Moldova can learn from Chinese young teachers, like the ability to do research and to apply the research in the process of teaching, which up to this moment the young teachers from Moldova have not developed very well or have not developed at all, or the ability to observe during more experienced teachers’ classes and have the initiative to ask advice from them, which could be of great help in developing the teaching abilities for the young teachers from Moldova. Young teachers from China could learn different teaching methods from the Moldovan young teachers or even some applicative abilities. But, in order for teachers from two culturally, linguistically and territorially far away countries’ university young teachers to learn something from each other first, there must be organized a cooperative relation between some universities from both countries and maybe in the end, even government’s foundation for forums and experience exchange trips for the young teachers from China and Moldova.
