As an early Marxist in China, Chen Wangdao studied in Japan and learned the Marxism when he was young. He devoted himself to the May 4th Movement when he came back to China and translated the Chinese vision of the Communist Manifesto under a extremely difficult condition. Chen Wangdao participated in creating the Chinese Communist Party and dedicated to promote women liberation movement.Chen Wangdao’s understanding of Chinese Women issue is beyond the general researchers. In this paper, we analyzes the social background at that time and combed his thought from germination to maturity. we not only recall his process when he first accepted Marxism to spread it, but also research his viewpoint on woman’s liberation. Chen Wandao believed that women issues are part of the social problems, therefore he put the women liberation into the whole social system to analyze, expanded the unfair treatment of women in marriage and love, in the economic rights and labor and other aspects. He also revealed the economic causes that rooted in the feudal system, combined women liberation movement with proletarian liberation movement, and obtain the final emancipation of women.The Marx doctrine in China, is the use of Marx’s stand, viewpoint, method for solving the practical problems of the Chinese revolution, construction, its achievements and historical experience as a theory, the Marx doctrine is rooted in the Chinese excellent culture, development and innovation of the Marx doctrine. Chen Wangdao’s Marxist feminism is also in the process of Marx doctrine in China, to study his Marxist views on women is conducive to the spreading, the teaching and researching of Marx doctrine in China.
