Generally speaking, the habit of students will have critical efforts on the study achievement of students. In the field of mathematics studying, the math studying habits of students usually have important efforts on the math studying achievement of students. As a whole, students’ math achievement in the stage of high school of different areas in China are different. Students’ math achievement in northwestern area,especially in northwestern racial area, lags behind the eastern counterpart. There are not only some objective reasons such as the poor of math studying condition but also some subjective ones like the poor of math studying habit. Mathematics is a fundamental subject which is very important for students’ future development.Cultivating the math studying habit of students in northwestern racial area in high school is critical for the development of northwestern racial area.According to the idea of the mathematics curriculum standard of ordinary high school(experimental draft),as a example, the author want to investigate the reality of students’ math studying habit and the relationship between that and the math studying achievement of one school in Guang He county by questionnaire survey qualitatively and quantitatively.What’s more, to analysis the reason and to carry out some feasible countermeasures. The author hope that his efforts can help the students of northwestern racial area to cultivate good math studying habit so that to improve the studying efficiency.Particularly speaking, the author want to launch questionnaire survey to a ordinary high school in Guang He county so that the author knows the reality of studying habits of high school students in racial area from two aspects-----collaborative learning and independent model of learning.What’s more, the author also analyzes the impact factors of studying habits of high school students in racial areas form three aspects----students, students’ parents,teachers. Particularly speaking, for the aspect of students, it includes the motive of students,the confidence of students, the self-discipline of students. For the aspect of students’ parents, it includes the educational level of parents, the occupation of parents, the parents’ concern to their child’s study. For the aspect of teachers,it includes the teaching measures and the use of multimedia. Finally, the author points out the strategy of cultivating mathematical studying habits of high school students in racialareas.According to analysis, there are three conclusions.The first, the mathematical studying habits of high school students in racial areas is not so well generally. With the increase of grade, however, he mathematical studying habits of high school students in racial areas becomes better and better. The second, the impact factors in the aspects of students,teachers, students’ parents have impact on the mathematical studying habits of high school students in racial areas. The third, we should cultivate students’ ability of independent study and cooperative study as the strategy of cultivating mathematical studying habits of high school students in racial areas.
