In the process of promoting the development of socialist modernization, especially after the years of China’s reform and opening up, we all reached a consensus from the governing party to the government, from all sectors of society to every family that while we are developing the economy and the material civilization, we have to reshape the spiritual civilization of new era, raise the ideological and moral quality of all nation, and reveal a good ethos and inner worlds.In order to enhance the construction of morality, especially the morality of university students, to establish a faith of moral ideal, to raise the moral qualities, to strengthen the education on the sense of shame, to reach a goal of unity of knowledge and practice on moral, an educator should possess a broad mind and vision of moral civilization and based on the reality, should absorb an excellent historical and cultural heritage.Confucius was a great ideologist, educator and politician. His educational ideology is the most valuable asset we inherit from the history of our country, and this is also a profound moral education to contemporary college students, and a reference to the theory and practice.The moral education concept of morden colledge and Confucius’moral education deal come from one source, they are the inheritation and development of Confucius’ moral education ideal. Educators of colledges should learn from Confucius’moral education to better the moral education, to follow the trend of moral education. In that case,we must insist in inheriting and developping the Confucius’moral education ideal in moral education,to find a new approch in moral education in colledges.The book analects of confucius represents the main idea of his education. It started from family, society and culture to reveal the historical background of how Confucius generated his educational ideology, to summarize his idea based on four aspects:bases, goals, contents and methods. Then, in analyzing the current moral situation of college students, we seek to find out the reason of how the problem generates in four aspects: universities, families, society and individuals. Finally, we are seeking a classical idea from his theory to combine with the real problem we are facing. In order to reveal the effect of Confucius’s education ideology in college students, we have to develop it based on the following aspects:promoting moral education in universities, raising the standard of moral education in families, refining the environment of education in society and enhancing moral improvement in individuals.
