The Study Of The Support Service System For Elderly Education In Ningbo City

The tendency of aging population has presented a variety of problems that will exert profound influence on the economic development and modernization drive in China. Under this background, the development of elderly education will not only help solve various elder-related problems but also meet the requirement of lifelong education and harmonious society. However, the government and society in China has not yet fully realized the importance and urgency of developing the elderly education which is confronted with many problems. The author believes that it is necessary to establish a complete support service system for elderly education so as to integrate various high-quality resources and forces in the society as well as promote the sound and sustainable development of elderly education. By taking Ningbo as an example, this paper has analyzed the support service system for elderly education in a systematic manner. It is hoped that this paper will identify the problems existing in the Ningbo’s elderly education through survey and thus offer measure and advice on establishing and improving the support service system for elderly education in Ningbo.The first chapter is an introduction. It is devoted to elaborating on the background, purpose and meaning of establishing the support service system for elderly education. By referring to the materials related to the support service system for elderly education both at home and abroad, this chapter has determined the basic research framework.The second chapter aims to define the basic essence of the support service system for elderly education. In addition, this paper has also made a systematic study of the roles of the government, elderly school and community, which are the three major support bodies, in developing the support service system for elderly education.The third chapter has conducted a survey of the current situation of the support service system for elderly education in Ningbo. Based on the result of questionnaire and interview, this chapter has also processed and analyzed the data so as to better understand the current situation and analyze the existing problems.From the perspective of establishing the support service system for elderly education, this paper has looked deep into the problems existing in the case of Ningbo. On the basis of theoretical study and current situation, this chapter has offered some advice on how to establish and improve Ningbo’s support service system for elderly education for the three support bodies.In conclusion, the fifth chapter has summarized the research result and flaw as well as the outlook for future development.
