As one of the important principles of the textbook compilation, the "authenticity” of the language materials has become a hot topic on the study of teaching materials. In recent years, from different perspectives, different researchers have discussed the authenticity of the teaching materials. This study based on the perspective of conversational analysis theory, from the local structure and the overall structure of the session to analyze the authenticity of the primary English textbooks, selecting turn-taking, adjacency pairs, preference organization, dis-preferred organization, the beginning of the conversation, and the end of the conversation to investigate the dialogue corpus in PEP primary English textbooks, based on the standard that whether textbook corpus conforms to the conversation structure rules, aiming to analysis and evaluate the authenticity of the primary English teaching corpus, providing new ideas and suggestions for the writing of the primary English textbooks and teaching practice in the future.Specifically, this study mainly has two problems: First, with the theory of conversation analysis, the teaching material of the structure of the session corpora is in line with the standard, whether of authenticity; Second, what is the enlightenment for the writing of the primary English textbooks and teaching practice based on the results of the analysis? The finding shows that the dialogues in PEP primary English textbooks on the whole reflect the conversational structure, but there are also some shortcomings. Specifically, the PEP primary English textbooks have higher authenticity in turn- talking and adjacency pairs; while relatively low in preference organization, the beginning of the conversation and the end of the conversation; and the authenticity of dis-preferred organization is the lowest. Through the results of the study, I puts forward these following suggestions: Teachers should help students set up the whole session structure consciousness and guide them to grasp the rules of the conversation; Teachers should according to the authenticity principle to choose the teaching materials, they can make flexible use of teaching materials by using conversation analysis for reference; Teachers should help students learn the British and American cultural knowledge by conversation analysis, improving their intercultural communication competences.
