“Conversation” is not only widely seen in our daily lives, but in the fields of philosophy,sociology, linguistics, psychology, politics, education, science and technology. Differentcountries and civilizations have different forms of conversation.“Conversation” is graduallyregarded as a way of communication and existence. With the development of society andeducation reform, conversation teaching comes into being as a result of the new education faithof conversation filtering into the education field. Conversation teaching emphasizes democracy,equality, harmony and calls for careful listen and the communication of thoughts and meaning.Effective conversation teaching focuses on students and pays attention to cooperation,exploration and creation. Knowledge can be in balance with emotions in conversation teaching.However, although the present conversation teaching in class is widely accepted, theconversation form is over-emphasized, far away from the spirit of conversation teaching and theconversation turns to be inefficient. The present research focuses mainly on the theory ofconversation teaching and pays less attention to the practical effects and questions that easilyoccur. Based on the present research results, this thesis plans to make use of the researchmethods of documentation and cases to analyze the practical reasons of the question thatconversation teaching in practical class isn’t effective, and then provides advice to ensure thehigh-efficiency of conversation teaching in practical class.This thesis mainly consists of four parts:First part: introduction. Based on the analysis of present research, the research production ofdifferent aspects about conversation teaching is fully combed. The present research status andtendency is clearly shown. Then it also includes research methods, meaning and purpose.Second part: the summary of conversation and efficient conversation teaching. It brieflyintroduces the concepts of conversation and conversation teaching, the contents of efficientconversation teaching and basic understandings of efficient conversation teaching.Third part: the phenomenon of conversation teaching’s inefficiency in practical class andthe analysis of reasons. The phenomenon refers to unreal conversation, generalization inpractical class, and deficiency of students and teachers’ dominant status in practical conversationteaching, with the support of relevant typical teaching cases’ analysis. Then it analyzes thereasons why these questions occur from the view of theory, such as teachers’ self-quality, students’ consciousness of question, traditional custom, teaching assessment etc.Fourth part: some advice of efficient conversation teaching. It mainly includes the teachingbody’s establishment, the confirmation of conversation teaching principle, the goals’ design, theoption of topics, the strategies of conversation teaching, scientific teaching assessment, etc.
