This thesis is the national social science fund project "Frontier Minority Areas Teenagers Citizen Consciousness Education Practice Mode Study"(project number:12BKS071) stage results, Xinjiang uygur autonomous region key subject construction of ideological and political education stage results. Bidding project for autonomous region of Xinjiang normal university key disciplines “Youth Life Values Education in Xinjiang"(project number: 13 xsqz0208) achievement.In recent years, the phenomenon of college students’ self-injury and suicide hurt others frequently. It affects many people’s heart. But this kind of phenomenon has not been controlled, and frequency continues to rising, the number of people involved is increasing. The phenomenon reflects that there are all kinds of problems to be solved in college students’ life values. Life’s Value education originated from the United States. The education has one hundred years old, and has made many achievements.But in our country these kinds of education still a new field; it has not caused the government, school and individual educators’ care. Values are a kind of view or attitude about how to realize the value. Life values education on the basis of understanding life, and implement of values education. Education purpose is intended to guide people to read, respect for life, think about life’s value, set up the correct life pursuit, and achieve the practice. The life value is part of the ideological and political education. Based on a series of problems of college students’ life values in our country, it is very urgent and important to accelerate the process of education.I made the college students of Xinjiang as the research object, using the four parts to search the related questions of students’ life values education in Xinjiang.The first part is the introduction part; in this part I may learn the background of the research on life values education, difficult point, innovation points and analyze the status at home and abroad. Through the analysis, I found the influence of other countries’ life education to our country. With their beneficial experience, removing the dross, and absorb the essence to develop our own life value education.The second part is theoretical basis part of this article. First of all, in order to clarify the life, value, life value, the essence and the connotation of life values education. Second, the meaning of life values education in Xinjiang, the meaning of life values education, the characteristics of college students’ life values education in Xinjiang, and other issues are expounded.The third part by the questionnaire I have analyzing and summing up the basicstatus of Xinjiang college students’ life values, found the problems of life values education in Xinjiang, and find the reasons of the problems. And lay a foundation for the implementation of the specific education way.The fourth part is to strengthen the countermeasure research of college students’ life values education in Xinjiang. From school education, family education, social education, college students themselves and so on several levels to find effective way to explore the xinjiang university student life values education, guiding students to use the correct life values to take care of self growth, rich meanings of life, promote life state, show the spirit rhyme of life, realize the value of life.
