Private colleges in our countries have experienced a rapid growth with the support from the government since the 1980 s. Different kinds of private colleges make a lot of contributions in to solving the problem of part of the students’ studies as well as improving our higher education system. However, most of the private colleges in our countries have met with a lot of difficulties, such as students of varying quality, inadequate in hardware facilities, single funding sources and a lack of funds. Among them, lacking of money has become the biggest restriction of private colleges. Compared with countries of more developed private education like United States, Japan and other countries, the private colleges in our countries are still far behind them. For example, we still need to do a lot in diversification of sources of financing, government financial support for private colleges and community donations to private colleges and so on. So, it is an emergency task to optimize of the financing of private universities.The A colleges which situated in Jilin Province is one of the excellent private colleges of China. The financing problem they uncounted has some representation.This article takes A college as an example of the private colleges in China. At the same time, this paper established private colleges financing demand model to explore the financing present situation and the pressure. With the theoretical approach and actual situation combined together and comparing the foreign success cases and domestic status quo, this article analyses the financing problems of private colleges and discusses on the financing optimization strategy of private universities.
