Language skills basically include listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing is the one that can reflect one’s all-round language ability among the four basic skills, writing teaching is regarded as the emphasis and difficulty of educational reform accordingly. It is more important to the Tibetan students who view Chinese as a second language to foster their Chinese writing ability.This dissertation investigates the Tibetan Class at senior high school of Lhasa High School(Lazhong for short), conducts fieldwork on its writing teaching condition through research methods of questionnaire,classroom observation, and interview, explores existing problems during students’ Chinese writing, and analyzes teachers’ potential problems in the process of their Chinese writing teaching, and then on the basis of reflecting and summarizing Chinese teachers’ experience on writing teaching, proposes some suggestions on writing teaching of Chinese as a second language by relative theoretical knowledge about education,educational psychology, and linguistics and practical experience on writing teaching. This thesis is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ: This part includes the causes of selecting the subject, the purposes and meaning of the research, research methods, core conceptsand literature review. “Writing teaching” and “teaching Chinese as a second language” are defined in the section of core concepts. Besides,literature review sums up the research condition of writing teaching from two dimensions of at home and abroad.Part Ⅱ: Through questionnaire survey, this part analyzes students’ writing study situation mainly from their writing interests, writing goals,writing troubles and views on writing design in Chinese textbooks, in addition, sorts out interviews with two teachers from the aspects of teaching ideas, teaching methods and teaching assessment.Part Ⅲ : This part analyzes and summarizes the problems and reasons during the process of students’ writing study and teachers’ Chinese writing teaching.Part Ⅳ : By relative theories on teaching Chinese as a second language, and according to the practical condition at Lhasa High School,this part reflects Chinese writing teaching in Tibetan Classes at High Schools in Lhasa, and puts forward some countermeasures and advice to students, teachers, and schools.Part Ⅴ: Conclusions...
