This paper is to conduct the comparative study of high school language teaching material on both sides of the Taiwan straits. The selection of samples come from Chinese mainland textbooks for senior middle school and Taiwan Kang Xi culture edition Chinese textbook for senior middle school. These two sets of teaching materials both have a certain popularity and demonstration in the region.This paper consists of three parts: preface, text and epilogue. In the preface part, the author firstly pointed out the meaning and the purpose of the selected topic, and organized the research status, then clarified the core concepts. The author also studied the knowledge of Propagation mode in the language teaching material.The body part starts from the overall introduction of two sets of teaching materials. According from the comparative study of editing ideas, editors, structure layout, layout module and the contents of the selected articles, this paper concluded four conclusion.Firstly, the two sets of textbooks are the apotheosis of written language teaching materials. Secondly, the two sets of textbooks are both pay attention to "code" and "decoding" interaction among the teaching activities. Thirdly, the two sets of teaching materials both emphasize the practicality of Chinese textbook and the training of t language learning. Fourthly, the mainland Chinese textbooks for high schools are more sensibility and modernity. Fifthly, the Taiwan Kang Xi edition of Chinese textbooks for senior middle school are more Inheritance and traditional.Based on the previous comparative study, the fourth chapter of this article Put forward that we should pay attention to key role of the paper Chinese textbooks in Chinese education, that we should pay more attention to the basis practical of the language education, that we should attach the importance of traditional culture’s inheritance to the Chinese education, that We should pay more attention to the "gatekeepers" and the "interaction" during the organization dissemination of language teaching material and that we should stick to "one more" ‘reform of textbook system on mainland. This part also discussed the feasibility of special materials promotion of "classics" in the mainland area.The conclusion part summarized the basic logic in this paper and put forward the deficiency of this article.
