The prosperity of a country depends on the development of education, and education the success of the decision lies in the quality of teachers, improve teachers’ quality as a key to many countries, teachers’ professional development is an important approach to improve the quality of teachers. English as the language of international communication, its effect is self-evident, it is a basic subject for the compulsory education phase, English teachers’ quality is the key part of the rural compulsory education quality improvement. So urgently needed by go the way of teachers’ professional development to improve the old revolutionary base areas of English teachers’ professional level, improve the rural English education present situation.In this paper, through literature method, questionnaire survey method and interview method in wuqi county junior high school English teachers’ professional development and experimental middle school, high school) and denier eight middle school(high school) were analyzed, in order to understand the wuqi county junior high school English teachers’ professional development present situation as well as other differences between the two secondary schools, 71 teachers of English to participate in this survey, which resembles two middle school 41, experimental middle school eight middle school 10, 20. Survey content mainly from seven aspects: basic situation analysis, emotional attitude, professional knowledge, professional ability analysis, self professional development consciousness, reflection and training situation analysis.Based on those junior middle school English teachers, the survey found there are six aspects: 1, professional concept is not clear; 2, professional knowledge is not perfect; 3, lack of professional development ability; 4, professional development motivation is insufficient; 5, lack of reflective behavior; 6, training efficiency is low. In view of the problem analysis, mainly from two aspects to analyze: individual cause and external cause. Individual reason mainly has the teachers’ self development drive and teacher of job burnout; External reasons exam-oriented education in teacher evaluation standard single; Hard to ensure the quality of the training; Reasons such as school management system problem.Finally, on the basis of the theory respectively from three aspects puts forward Suggestions to improve one junior middle school English teachers’ professional development, teachers themselves should improve their professional development skills, and improve the development of the mutual cooperation ability; Schools should create English teachers’ professional development environment, set up teacher’s professional development platform, and optimize the mode of evaluation feedback and improve teachers’ professional identity, from the various aspects to promote the wuqi junior middle school English teachers’ professional development; To step up to the social environment in those of education funds investment and optimize the wuqi the countryside junior middle school English teachers’ training mode, ensure orderly in those English teachers’ professional development.
