With the development of the information society progress, social media technology has been widely used in people’s work, study and life, especially the mobile social media which is based on mobile information technology that not restricted by time and space location.Social media provides users with instant communication and exchanges, user generated content, interactive functions such as sharing, evaluation, transfer, and under the background of information technology great changes have taken place in interpersonal relationships and communication.This study took 284 graduate students and 28 tutors from China university of mining and technology as investigation object, using Excel to analysis use effect of the social media technology for tutors and graduate students in the process of training through the questionnaire survey and the reality of social media between teachers and students to use.Through the data analysis, many important changes have taken place on communication and exchanges between tutors and graduate students under the background of the internet information society and use of social media. including communication the time, place, way, the frequency of communication, content and effect evaluation between teachers and students, etc., and to analyze the same and different situation of different background of tutors and graduate students in the use of social media.Through the collection and analysis of the results found, under the background of social media communication and learning guidance from traditional face-to-face to mobile communication at any time between tutors and graduate students,communication mode are diverse, graduate students in the process of using social media are more active, different background affects the use of social media choice between tutors and graduate students, scientific research project is main content of class of tutors and on the social media, using social media guide to learn make relationship between tutors and graduate students more intimate and personal,and because of advantages of social media communication it will be in a wide range of welcome in the future.On this basis, based on results of the survey, tutors and graduate students as well as the management of colleges are given concrete suggestions about how to use social media to promote teaching-learning relationships.
