With the advancement of economic globalization and the quickening pace of technological progress, increasingly complex engineering environment, a major change in response to the fierce competition has become more and more important, the top-notch innovative personnel training are full in swing. The talent who is cultivated by the Higher engineering education, must adapt to the growing international economic exchanges and the needs of the growing national strength competition, but are not only confined to the professional skill education, to cultivate high quality engineering talents with outstanding leadership is the inevitable requirement of economic globalization. Based on this background, this thesis which research into the influential factors and promotion strategy of undergraduates engineering leadership has certain theoretical value and practical significance.Based on the theory of leadership development and so on, the thesis explore the structure of engineering leadership and influential factors of undergraduate engineering leadership by using the method of empirical research, and to build the undergraduate engineering leadership influential factor model, to explore undergraduate engineering leadership promotion measures. The research suggests: engineering leadership structure including general leadership, technology leadership and business leadership; The influential factors of Undergraduate engineering leadership including training goal, course system, training methods, teachers’ ability, industry cooperation mechanism, evaluation and feedback mechanism. Among them, training goal, training methods, teachers’ ability produced significantly positive effect on three dimension of engineering leadership; evaluation and feedback mechanism produced significantly positive effect on business leadership, but course system and industry cooperation mechanism had no significant positive effect on engineering leadership, because the effects on engineering leadership may be indirect.Based on the undergraduate engineering leadership influential factor model, this thesis proposed the universities can improve the undergraduates engineering leadership by setting clear and feasible engineering leadership training goal, reforming the engineering leadership training methods, constructing the teachers’ team, building the evaluation and feedback mechanism.
