Objective:The main purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of the fitness running on the gas metabolism and energy consumption, and the process of increasing exercise gas metabolism and energy consumption index before and after fitness running.The study is to lay the foundation of jogging exercise which is more scientific and more system in the future, and is to improve the level of the physical health of middle-aged women in China to provide scientific basis.Methods:The methods of selecting women aged 50 to 59 is recruiting social voluntary jogging exercise in Xi’an, a total of 36 women as experimental subjects should take jogging exercise 16 weeks. Observe the movement before and after the intervention, the changes of the parameters of the body during the quiet state, the anaerobic threshold, and the incremental load during the course of the movement of the body. Test indicators:The heart rate (HR), Oxygen uptake (VO2), Amount of exhaled carbon dioxide (VCO2), The relative oxygen uptake (VO2/Kg), Ventilation (VE), Respiratory frequency (RF), Oxygen pulse (VO2/HR), Metabolic equivalents (METS), Respiratory exchange ratio (RER), Energy consumption. All data are using SPSS17.0 statistical software and Microsoft Excel 2003 software for processing analysis, the results with the average+standard deviation. By using descriptive statistics, fixed base, paired samples test analysis was used for statistical analysis. The significant differences P< 0.05, P< 0.01 for the very significant difference.Results:(1) In the quiet condition, the index (HR, VO2, VCO2, VO2/Kg, RER, METS, and energy consumption) after the intervention are significantly lower than before. VE and RF were no significant difference compared with before exercise intervention.(2) Anaerobic threshold index (HR, VO2, VE, VO2/HR and METS)were significantly increased, and anaerobic threshold time and power are also significantly increased.(3) Comparison of each index changes during incremental exercise:At the beginning of the movement VO2 after the intervention growth faster than before; VCO2, VE and RE after the intervention growth lower than before. During the moderate intensity exercising, VE and METS after the intervention growth faster than before; Power consumption is less than before. During the high intensity exercise, the growth speed and average of VO2 were greater than before; and the energy consumption and METS were greater than before. During the exhaustion, the average of VO2, VCO2, VE, METS, and energy consumption were greater than before the intervention. During the recovery, after the intervention of VO2, VCO2, VE, VO2/Kg, RF, METS and energy consumption decreasing speed were greater than before.Conclusion:(1) The 16 weeks jogging exercise can obviously improve the women aged 50 to 59 of gas metabolism index and energy consumption index, in the quiet state of HR, VO2, VCO2, VO2/Kg, RER, METS, and energy consumption indexes were significantly lower than before, the women in the respiratory system function effectively improve, enhance the cardiopulmonary function of the body.(2) The 16 weeks jogging movement make women aged 50 to 59 anaerobic threshold of HR, VO2, VE, VO2/ HR, METS, time of arrival in anaerobic threshold and power were significantly increased, make the body’s aerobic work ability enhancement.(3) The 16 weeks jogging movement also can significantly improve the incremental load movement of the body in the process of gas metabolism, in the body function to mobilize quickly, long endurance, sprint, aerobic using the more economical. Moderate intensity exercise, after the intervention, energy consumption is less than before, METS is greater than before; High intensity exercise until exhausted, after the intervention of energy consumption, METS, were greater than before, thus 16 weeks jogging exercise can help improve women aged 50 to 59 muscular tissue of oxygen utilization, make the movement more economical.
