The Impact Of Parenting Styles On Children’s Aggressive Behavior

Aggressive behavior is a common social behavior of children,which means doing physical or psychological harm to other people With aggressive behavior and violent crime becoming more and more popular its necessary to study aggressive behavior deeply. The family is the most important factors to the development of children. And parenting styles play an important role on the formation and development of personality, positive parenting styles is helpful to developing positive personality. Different personality traits may lead to different behavior.We use three questionnaires to explore the characteristics of aggressive behavior and explore relationships between Parenting, personality traits and aggressive behavior.324 samples are from three different schools and four different grades. The results are as follows:1、There exist significant gender differences in children’s aggressive behavior while no differences among different grades boys have more aggressive behavior than girls.2、Parenting styles are significantly associated with children’s aggressive behaviors and there exist obvious relevance between personality traits and aggressive behaviors. While not all dimensions are correlation between parenting styles and personality traits.3、Personality traits are associated with children’s aggressive behaviors. People who get high scores of N and E maybe have more aggressive behavior.4、Parenting styles and personality traits can predict Aggressive behavior well. And Personality plays a good mediating role between Parenting Styles and aggressive behavior.
