In the past twenty years,athlete's aggressive behavior has been one of the most important issues in the research of the International Sports Psychological Society.However,most of the studies are limited to the research of personality customization and aggressive behavior,and lack of exploring the possible psychological mechanism behind the relationship between the two and their causes.This study explores the relationship between boxers personality traits and aggressive behavior from the perspective of personality traits,and tests the intermediary role of self-control between boxers personality traits and aggressive behaviors.In this study,professional boxers were investigated with Big five Personality scale,athlete self-control questionnaire and Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire.The national team as well as Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhou,Yunnan and other provinces and cities,selected professional boxers as subjects,conducted a questionnaire survey.220 questionnaires were sent out,210 valid questionnaires were collected,and the effective recovery rate was 95%.The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS22.0and AMOS21.0.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)Boxing athlete's aggressive behavior showed significant gender difference,male aggressive behavior was significantly higher than that of girls,and aggression behavior was significantly different in different sports grades,different sports years,different education levels and different ages.(2)Boxers self-control shows no significant gender difference,and there are significant differences in self-control between different levels of sports,different years of sports,different educational background and different age stages.(3)The neuroticism of boxers is positively correlated with aggressive behavior,and the personality,responsibility,extroversion is negatively correlated with aggressive behavior,and self-control is negatively correlated with aggressive behavior.(4)Self-control plays a part intermediary role between neuroticism and aggressive behavior,self-control plays a complete intermediary role between extroversion and aggressive behavior,self-control plays a part intermediary role between suitablyhuman nature and aggressive behavior.Self-control acts as a complete intermediary between responsibility and aggressive behavior.The main recommendations based on the findings of the study are as follows:(1)According to the relationship between personality traits and aggression of boxers,we may consider making training and intervention programs according to the personality traits of specific boxers in boxing training so as to reduce their aggression.(2)Attach importance to the function of the psychological material selection index of boxing athletes,perfect the psychological selection mechanism of boxing athletes,consider the personality characteristics and self-control of boxing athletes as the key psychological selection indexes.(3)Make clear the intermediary function of boxer's self-control,pay attention to train boxer's self-control in daily training and match,and then achieve the improvement of boxer's sports performance,and finally promote the boxers physical and mental health development.
