The Relationship Among Psychological Arousal,Personality Traits And Aggressive Behavior In College Athletes

With the development of the world economy,all kinds of sports are thriving.With the development of sports,competitive spirit has different effects on people.On the one hand,competitive sports can cultivate good moral qualities such as fairness and justice,but on the other hand,in all kinds of competitive games,attacks and violence of athletes occur frequently,Moreover,the level of psychological arousal,personality and negative emotions of athletes are the important factors that affect their aggression and violence.Therefore,this paper explores the psychological arousal intensity,arousal direction,personality of college students and mobilization,aggressiveness of athletes themselves and competitive level of athletes,and carries out two studies by using athletes’ psychological arousal scale(Masa),competitive aggression and anger scale,big five personality scale and college athletes’ self-evaluation.In the first study,600 college students were selected as subjects,and the relationship between psychological arousal level,personality and competitive level and aggressive behavior was explored through athletes’ psychological arousal scale(Masa),competitive aggression and anger scale,big five personality scale and college athletes’ self-evaluation of competitive level.In the second study,according to the different competitive levels of college athletes,the relationship among psychological arousal,personality and aggressive behavior was explored.Therefore,this study draws the following conclusions:In terms of gender,there is no significant difference between male and female athletes in the direction of psychological arousal and all dimensions of personality,but male athletes are higher than female athletes in arousal intensity and aggressive behavior.In the aspect of grade,there was no significant difference in the dimensions of big five personality,aggressive behavior and psychological arousal,but there was significant difference in the intensity of psychological arousal.The specific performance was that the intensity of psychological arousal of the first grade undergraduate athletes was the lowest,significantly lower than that of the second grade,third grade and fourth grade undergraduate athletes,but lower than that of the graduate athletes There was no significant difference in mobilization.In terms of family location,there was no significant difference in each dimension of family location(P > 0.05).However,it is worth noting that the difference in wake-up intensity reached the marginal significant level,which showed that the psychological wake-up intensity of urban college students was higher than that of urban college students,and also reached the marginal significant level.According to the analysis,altruism and arousal intensity can well predict the aggressive behavior of college athletes.Taking the competitive level as the independent variable,it is concluded that the intensity of psychological arousal,sociality,altruism and morality are positively correlated with the aggressive behavior of high competitive level college athletes.There is a significant positive correlation between the direction of psychological arousal and the social,altruistic and moral dimensions of the big five personality of high competitive level college athletes,while the intensity of psychological arousal is only positively correlated with the aggressive behavior of high competitive level college athletes;the intensity of psychological arousal,correlated with the aggressive behavior of low competitive level college athletes In order to show a significant positive correlation,adaptability is negatively correlated with aggressive behavior of low competitive level college athletes.There is a significant positive correlation between the direction of psychological arousal and the social,altruistic and moral dimensions of big five personality of low competitive level college athletes,while the intensity of psychological arousal is only positively correlated with the direction of psychological arousal and aggressive behavior of low competitive level college athletes.
