Physical education and health curriculum is a comprehensive course, which has a deep cultural and scientific basis, it is an important part of the school curriculum system, is to improve students’ physical and mental health as the goal, the development of students’ physical education as the goal of ordinary high school sports and health curriculum requirements. In the course of high school students, because they are in the critical period of physical and mental development, to enhance and improve the physical quality and health level of students, as well as to enhance the students’ awareness of lifelong physical education, and thus improve the overall quality of the whole society has an important role. Therefore, the ordinary high school should carry out the physical education curriculum, improve the teaching quality, optimize the teaching process, and lay the foundation for the students’ healthy development.The reform of physical education and health curriculum is an important task in the development of the school. The curriculum reform and the implementation of the relationship between the quality education and the development of school education. Therefore, this paper analyzes and explores the current situation of physical education and health education in Zibo city. It will provide effective theoretical support to the education administrative departments in order to provide effective theoretical support to the education reform. The new curriculum has changed the students’ learning style, which emphasizes the process and method of learning, and the new curriculum has changed the teaching strategy and behavior. At the same time, through the interview survey, the school teaching management system has not yet formed, the intrinsic value of the new curriculum evaluation reform, lack of infrastructure, lack of ground construction, sports capital investment is not enough, still can not meet the needs of the new curriculum implementation, teaching material is still the only curriculum resources, teaching content is too narrow, and the teachers’ knowledge and ability structure needs to be further improved. Therefore, strengthening the grass-roots sports teachers in-service training and continuing education is particularly important, the education departments and school leaders should establish a reasonable incentive system and improve the incentive mechanism; to promote the teachers’ education idea transformation and updating of the knowledge system through continuous learning; improve school management measures; improve the consciousness and ability of Teachers to develop curriculum resources; increase the teaching hardware investment, to ensure the smooth implementation of the new curriculum reform in senior high school.
