STSE (Science and Environment) education is an important approach to improve the citizens’ scientific literacy, the idea of our country high school chemistry education reform has a great influence, but because of China’s college entrance examination system and the limitation of the learning resources, STSE education teaching thought in the teaching practice is not well implemented. Especially China is a predominantly agricultural population, rural middle school students accounted for a large proportion, but the uneven development of urban and rural education, rural education is relatively backward. Most of the rural middle school information occlusion, teachers’ teaching concepts backward, rural middle school students’ knowledge. How can in the rural middle school chemistry teaching by implementing STSE education, improve the students’ scientific quality, and cultivate qualified talents for our country’s agricultural modernization is a problem worthy of study.In this paper, we study the consult relevant STSE education on the basis of literature, and from the Angle of historical development, this paper introduces the STSE education of emergence, development and research status; Then the author illustrates the STSE education in rural middle school chemistry teaching in the implementation of the five more feasible way; This paper mainly in yuxi jiangchuan county of yunnan province first middle school, for example, in the university chemistry teaching was discussed in detail for nearly a year of STSE education practice.This paper is divided into seven parts, the first part:elaborated this topic research background, literature review and the selected topic basis and research significance. The second part:elaborated the STSE and STSE education connotation and STSE education the value of a few core concepts, and constructivism theory analysis demonstrates the support STSE education theoretical foundation; Also analyzed the current high school are compulsory chemical teaching material’s characteristic; The principle of proposed STSE education lesson plan design. The third part:on high school teachers in yuxi city, Yunnan province STSE education present situation investigation and analysis, discusses the STSE implemented in rural middle school chemistry teaching, the necessity of education and sustainability. The fourth part:based on the characteristics of chemical materials in China and rural middle school teaching practice, analyze how to STSE implemented in rural middle school chemistry teaching, education, and put forward the classroom teaching, inquiry learning, the second classroom, chemical experiment teaching, five items of STSE practice to carry out the STSE education is feasible and effective way. Yuxi city, yunnan province, the fifth part:the jiangchuan county first middle school for the pilot, to carry out the STSE education teaching practice research, and will carry out STSE education of five kinds of effective ways to apply in practical teaching. The seventh part:is this study summarized and prospected, available for researchers to further thinking.In this paper, the research for STSE implemented in rural middle school chemistry teaching, education research and practice of theoretical and practical significance.
