"Scientific spirit and social responsibility" is an important component of the core literacy of chemistry.Through high school chemistry study,students are required to master chemical knowledge,understand the social value of chemistry,understand the relationship between science,technology,society and environment,and cultivate students' scientific spirit and sense of social responsibility.This paper mainly focuses on the STSE educational concept in the teaching of organic chemistry in high schools.The main tasks are: reviewing the development process of STSE education at home and abroad and the research results of organic chemistry teaching in high schools;expounding the educational characteristics and objectives of the STSE concept;analyzing the new curriculum standard STSE education content,organic chemistry STSE textbook content and recent college entrance examination organic chemistry STSE test questions;using questionnaires and "STSE Concept Assessment Scale" to understand the current situation and teaching application of teachers and students' STSE concepts;combining the above theoretical research and current situation survey to determine the scientific and practical,Based on the principle of teacher leadership and student subjectivity,the organic chemistry teaching model based on STSE education was designed and tested in practice,taking the content of the second chapter of the compulsory second chapter of high school chemistry in the human-taught version of high school chemistry as the knowledge carrier.Studies have shown that the teaching of organic chemistry under this concept promotes students' understanding and connection of the four elements of STSE,and improves students' learning interest,performance and ability to inquire.It has a significant effect on students' scientific spirit and sense of social responsibility.
