This thesis focuses on the problem of inquiry teaching practice in large class. I have been carried out the research actively. According to the specific conditions of my school, I have been found a suitable teaching mode which has high practical implications and the characteristic of high pertinency.The curriculum standard of high school biology has proposed the goal of inquiry learning. The textbooks have been written with the inquiry teaching as the main line, and many suggestions of various inquiry teaching activities have been provided. Thus, it is inevitable for the comprehensive promotion of inquiry teaching and its usage in the teaching practice. Many high schools have been tried to conduct inquiry teaching in the running process of the new course reformation. And many high schools have been made their own modes of inquiry teaching. Even so, conducting the inquiry teaching mode is still rest on the primary stage. Some mature modes of inquiry teaching have been constructed in some regions. Different teaching modes have their own characteristics and advantages, but they are all based on the premise of small class teaching. I have been working as a practical teacher after graduation. My school has been carrying out teaching reform actively. Due to various reasons, my school has been still running large class teaching. But it is evident to anyone in educational world that the inquiry teaching is suitable for small class. Therefore, I have synthesized and analyzed current inquiry teaching situation home and abroad. Draw lessons from their experience, I have made a research on the inquiry teaching mode of biology in large class of high school. In order to lead students to participate and inquiry actively, I have tried to grope rules and sum up experience constantly in the teaching practice under the guidance of constructivism theory. Under the guidance of the curriculum standard of high school biology, I have been attempted to impose inquiry teaching in large class teaching. Based on the textbook, I have been proceed teaching test in teaching practice. In order to compare with the traditional teaching mode, I have been analyzed many aspects on learning, such as learning effects, abilities and a shift of values. At last, I have been summed up the difficulties that I have met and the advantages and disadvantages of the inquiry teaching mode. According to this, I have been proposed the adjusting strategies accordingly. Through the reasonable and feasible means, I have been tried to settle the contradiction between the time-consuming inquiry teaching and the teaching schedule, the contradiction between the inquiry teaching and the large class teaching. Turn over to think the teaching test, I have been improved the teaching steps and replaced some unsuitable teaching activities. Finally, I have been put forward the inquiry teaching mode of high school biology which is suitable for large class teaching. Now I have still improving and innovating in the teaching practice constantly.
